Prepare yourself for SharePoint 2007 - Learn ASP.NET 2.0 Now

Say Patrick Tisseghem's on the Blog [MVP SharePoint]
Since the forthcoming new version of Windows SharePoint Services is deeply integrated with ASP.NET 2.0, my best advice for developers who are looking for resources on preparing themselves for the new version is to learn ASP.NET 2.0. One good place to start are these videos. Thanks David for the info - go to his posting for more resources.
I do agree!

Creating Multilingual Web Parts

We live in a multi-lingual world. Mapping new Site Collections to Specific Databases in WSS/SPS

In some environments, the creation of top level sites (TLS) is strictly controlled such that IT Pros are the only folks who can create new TLS. Sometimes, in these environments, there is also a desire to map which database will host the new TLS. read more info on this subject on SharePoint Cafe ... (see the link).
